ARKTOS EDON
“open up your eyes.
learn to live.”

He tames more bears to his will and he gets help from his friends as well. Soon his tribe have over twenty bears that help them fish and watch over their children. Some of the bears are only half-tame and return to the wilderness at night, whilst others sleep with the tribe and keep them safe from mountain lions and other dangerous threats and hunters.

A harsh winter comes and the humans are not prepared for it. As always, the bears are, but within two months, the man and his tribe are packing their things and moving off. The bears watch with wild eyes and nervous grunts - they don’t understand what is happening. The wolves stick with the children, observing the bears with cold eyes whilst the man stops packing for a moment and approaches the bears.

He speaks in soft tones, placing his palms on each of their noses in turn; his eyes full of regret. Turning away, he hears them start to follow him and glares at them, raising his voice so that they step back in confusion and retreat. It is a bitter way to part, he thinks as he picks up his staff and walks off with the rest of his tribe and their wolves, but they cannot survive here in such harsh conditions.

Tell your stories say goodbye – feast today for tomorrow we die

A religion must start with a god, and that god must start with an idea. The idea of fire, or wind, or the wilderness and the color of moonshine, or first breath of a new born child. A religion must start with a god, and that god must start with an idea, and that idea must start with a dreamer. Only poets and madmen dream of new gods, because they see the virtue of a thing and not the use of it. People do not listen to poets and few would admit to listening to one insane, but sometimes the idea of a god becomes a seed in the mind of some creative individual. It could take months or it could take generations before that seed germinates and starts to grow, and the plant that is the idea gives flower to the god, and a religion is born. It spreads, slowly at first but gaining momentum until it has crossed the minds of all. Sometimes the religion dies, or the god dies – or at worst, the idea dies, and the religion becomes a hollow shell that its leaders use to manipulate its followers. Or perhaps the idea is misunderstood, and the god of fire becomes the tyrant of battle because those who now dream of him forget the fire that warms their homes, cooks their meals and wards off the darkness.

Starclan began with an idea. The poets and the madmen dreamt that their dearly departed watched and advised from beyond the great void between life and death. Starclan was dreamt a god of bridges, linking the land of the dead with the land of the living over the great black river Styx. The idea that was Starclan journeyed with gypsies and nomads across the world, and it met with the idea called the Tamerlain, who was the idea of the moonshine, and the freedom of the wilderness, and the beauty of the transition from life to death and death to life, birth and death.

Misunderstood wants to take you back. Before the kitty-pet called Rusty was even convinced – before kitty-pets existed, before Starclan watched from silverpelt. The two-legs call this time the Dark Ages, but for the feline population in the primal forests it was an age of light. A moon-worshiping religion that adhered to the idea called the goddess Tamerlain was spread through the world and Starclan was just a vague idea in a poet’s mind. The religion of Tamerlain was one of warrior priests, hunter-gatherer priestesses and educated plebeians.

But the poet spoke of his idea, and his idea grew, and it spread, and it became Starclan in the mind of a prophet, who brought it to the stygian glades of the forestborder of the winterwood. From there, it spread . . . .

It is said that Svajone does not exist, that it is merely a figment of any adventurer’s imagination when they hear about the legends that surround the island. That is what they are - legends; there’s nothing more to them. Old wives’ tales that were used to persuade sailors and captains not to set off in search of it, little myths to explain the unexplainable; just silly little stories that someone made up in their spare time.

Ten years ago, Svajone - the Dreaming Island - was discovered by Søren Svajone, hence it being named ‘Svajone’. Having stumbled across the uninhabited island with a crew of twenty men on his ship Old Time Street, Søren did not hesitate to settle down on the island and send word back to England that there was - indeed - another island that surrounded Britain, one that he had just discovered. There was great excitement all around the country and no-one could wait for Svajone’s return, in order to see and hear what he’d discovered.

Unfortunately for both England and Søren, he never made it back to London.

Out of his crew of twenty, only fourteen survived, each of them refusing to talk about what had happened on Svajone. According to the press, Søren and the six other crew members had loved the island so much that they had decided to stay there - but it was quite clear that from the way the surviving crew members were acting, something had gone quite terribly wrong. Eventually, one member of the crew - James Gold - came forward with a single statement in response to the whispers that were circulating about the whole event. “It was the wolves, sir. The wolves!”

An enormous ship full of many crated dogs of all breeds, shapes and sizes crashed among the large, sharp rocks of The Island. The humans on the boat died in the crash along with many dogs however some survived, escaping from their crates and onto the strange, unknown island which still remains unnamed to this day. There are no humans on this island, not two, not one, none. The island is deserted aside from wild life.

A few weeks later the boat dogs noticed a lone dog, a huge black labrador retriever standing among the trees along the beach where the dogs had camped. This was Kale. Kale and his pack are island dogs, they were here long before the boat dogs had ever arrived. How they got here is unknown, even to themselves. The island dogs remained at a distance, unsure of these other strange dogs. Soon the boat dogs parted ways.

The boat dogs separated and formed their own packs, over the shock of the crash and beginning their lives anew. The island dogs eventually stopped spying on the island dogs. Months later a island dog went missing, a boat dog had stolen and killed the island dog. This sparked the rivalry between island and boat dog that still stands firm to this day. The occasional flare up tends to happen however both mostly leave each other be.

On this island, survival is not a game.

Site Name: Brimstone and Ash

Site URL: http://brimstoneandash.proboards91.com/index.cgi

Site Description:

Hell had seen finer days. Its great iron and steel buildings rising from a harsh plateau of brimstone and lava rock; had at one time been the envy of the lesser towns and cities. The economy had been surprisingly efficient and thriving, despite the fact that its inhabitants were demons and other un-dead beings. Stores and Shoppe’s has been set up and buildings created for housing the growing number of Hells patrons. Unlike the stories told to mortal children to strike the fear of sin into the hearts, Hell was not a torturous place for the corrupt dead to flow down to after their bodies rotted in the grave. It was the capital city of an entire nation, aptly named the d**ned-Nation. The residents were, for the majority, Demons. Alas, Demons come in many shapes and forms – some more pleasant than others. When you walked along the nicely cobbled streets of Hell, there had once been towering statues sprouting flame or blood; a delight for the demonics of all ages. For many hundreds of thousands of years, Hell had been the reigning power over the lesser regions of the d**n-Nation. Unfortunately for the social structure of Hell, good things can’t last forever. The pomp and splendor of Hells social hierarchy had begun to crumble from the bottom up. Those of lesser holding, predominantly homeless demons, took it upon themselves to try and create a better living. This is where history gets hazy – and of course – mixed. Every tale is different about that fateful winter night, as the crimson sun reclined in the horizon. Some say it was a mass uprising, others think it all started from a cult and their brainwashing. The rest don’t know, or are dead from the very act itself.

Regardless of the cause – there was an outcome. One which would set the capital city of the d**ned-Nation to torch and succumb to rubble. Satan and all his sons up to Satan the fifty seventh, whom had been the ruling Demon family for as long as anyone could remember – finally had their strain ended. Satan Daemon Lucifer Devil the fifty seventh died that night, face down in his royal office in a puddle of his own blackened blood. “Assassination!”they had screamed, as the rulers body was discovered and swiftly discarded. That was when the true uprising began. Even the official Centurian police could not sway the forsaken residents of Hell. They fought amongst each other, tore down the walls of buildings. Windows were smashed and so were skulls – nothing was safe. Everyone, it seemed, wanted to become the next reigning Demon of Hell – but little did they know that all their efforts would bring about nothing but chaos and ruin. Dozens of nights passed and it seemed as if the flame in Hells streets would never be extinguished. Many thousands of inhabitants had perished one way or another, at least those are the counted bodies; it is uncertain how many really died during Hells collapse. Those last few hours of anarchy were subdued by a fierce wind, one that ripped through the ruin of the once glorious city, taking down whatever the residents hadn’t. More buildings and towers were made to bow to the wind – but steel does not bend easily. They twisted and contorted, sprouting from the ground like some crippled tree. Even those with darkened hearts – those that survived – fled the city in whichever way was possible. Most went north, to the next highest ranking cities in the d**ned-Nation. Most, but not all.

Together three Demon families joined forces. The Hukmars, the Flahgrens and the Amings. Each brought with them a trade of their own. The Hukmars were Death-Hounds trainers, the Flahgrens excelled in capture and training of Sabre Cains while the Amings were both prophets and tamers of chaos cats, also called Maguars in the old tongue. There were also Harpies and Yurins – a subtype of demon with wings of feather or skin, Anthropomorphist and Umari – though they were bound in chains. Each brought their own talent - to a place without a name. It rose from the ashes of Hells former glory and was built on the brimstone that covers mass amounts of this land. The new city had grown over the years -with many migrating to its streets and pubs. Many had congregated in this new creation of theirs. Alas! It needed a name. And in the darkness of a hidden chamber, far below the arisen city, a d**ned soul whispered “Brimstone…”

}More detail may be added later once we get a major plot, but this will do for now..{

Plotline: See descript.

Site Rating: I’d give it a visual ten, a ten for the attitudes of the members..so yeah – perfect!

Activity: Moderate. We just opened June 15th. It’s gonna be great, though!

Site Owner(s): Draeden @ Brimstone.

Additional Comments: Gotta see to believe!

Their parents were the only reason he didnt do that sooner, they were too strong for him. After he proclaimed himself alpha Stormy and Thunder were about 4 months old, the nurse of the pack was taking care of them. Once they had it all planned out the dark alpha looked impressed and he said something he would regret, he insulted Stormy and Thunder's parents. Thunder leaped on him with no warning and broke all his legs with a couple snaps of his teeth. Then he left a slash down his side that would kill him eventually and left him to suffer.
